In order to sell your home it must be seen and there's no better place to help buyers find you than using the power of the Internet.  With over 90% of buyers looking online to buy or rent a home, your listing on Massachusetts 4 Sale By Owner creates an instant online presence for your property, a unique URL that can be used to promote your listing in print media and online.

How We Use Social Media: Once your listing "goes live" on MA4salebyowner.com, we get busy using our social media networks to announce that it is available.

We post your listing on our FSBO Blog which is immediately updated to subscribers who have asked to be notified when new listings appear on our website.

Next we turn to Facebook, where we post a message for our followers that includes a picture and link to your listing.  Our followers can "reshare" the post with friends in their networks, who can also pass the information along to their friends, and so on.

We also send your listing to our Twitter network.  Twitter provides users to relay short messages (140 characters or less) that are intended to educate, promote, invite or sometimes amuse.  The network is used by many professionals and individuals who have interests in common.  Many of our followers are local to Western Massachusetts, or are involved in real estate sales, investing, or home building throughout the state.

Our Twitter feed appears on LinkedIn (Liz Provo's professional profile), where we occasionally promote events and share information through lively discussions with other group members.

How You Can Use Social Media To Sell Your Home: Many of our sellers have a personal Facebook page.  Be sure to "like" us then you might want to start by commenting on or "liking" your listing as we post it on our wall.  Every listing has its own "share" buttons.  If you are logged into your account, just click on the Facebook link and your listing will appear on your wall where it can be viewed by anyone in your network. Be sure to check your privacy settings.  Ask your Facebook friends to pass word along to their friends in case anyone is thinking of buying a home in your area.  You can also use your email contact list and attach one of our PDF flyers to your message and send a group email message announcing that your home is on the market.  This alone has been very effective for some of our sellers.  If you use Twitter, you probably know about services such as bit.ly, which will shorten a long URL address into one that is very short.  Be sure to link to your listing in your message.

We are always happy to provide suggestions on how, when and where to use social media to promote your listing.
